The Climate Protection Project supported by TDH Germany and SAHAS Nepal in Karnali Province has been successfully continued with the active implementation of climate-resilient and community-based development activities in Tilagufa Municipality and Mahabahi Rural Municipality by Karnali Resilience Initiative Nepal. The project focused on reducing household greenhouse gas emissions through clean energy technologies, promoting climate-resilient agriculture practices, and strengthening the capacity of CBOs, youth groups, and community networks. Major achievements included the formation of 160 CBOs covering 3,973 households, establishment of 18 youth groups, implementation of climate-smart agriculture and home garden management trainings, plantation of fruit saplings, installation of climate-resilient technologies, and organization of awareness campaigns on gender violence, child marriage, environmental protection, and disability inclusion. Through special day celebrations such as International Women\u2019s Day, World Environment Day, and National Rice Day, the project strengthened community awareness on climate action, gender equality, sustainable agriculture, and social inclusion. Continuous coordination with local governments and active participation of women, youth, farmers, and community groups further enhanced local ownership, resilience, and sustainable livelihood opportunities across the project areas<\/p>\n\n\n\n
